Behavior and Character WebQuest
The need for behavior management is reduced when children have ownership of classroom norms and rules.  Their interest will be sparked if they are allowed to create and help maintain behavior expectations and, thus, they will be better prepared for life outside of school.

This WebQuest is written for third grade students and is meant to be implemented at the beginning of the school year so classroom norms can be established.  The WebQuest is a performance task requiring students to work cooperatively in small groups and may take two to three weeks to complete.  Students will use Communication Arts skills throughout the process of the project and will need to have technology knowledge as they will be creating a powerpoint.  You may modify this WebQuest to meet the needs of your students.

Students will be grouped heterogeneously.  Behavior and character books will be available from the media center for extension activities, such as Accelerated Reading and testing.  Praise Paws will be available for students to complete and present to fellow classmates as they see positive behavior and character.
